Please visit our "Curtain Hub" to get some advice on how to measure for the curtains, how to choose the right style of heading and material for your beautiful curtains: https://linenduet.com/content/18-curtain-hub
Please follow these step-by-step instructions to successfully purchase the listing and receive your beautifully made cafe curtains without any delays:
Step 1. Pick the style of cafe curtains:
• Triple pinch pleats
• Double pinch pleats
• Fan double pinch pleats (featured in the main photo)
• Pencil pleats
• Rod pocket
Step 2. Measure for your cafe curtains.
- Curtain width:
We recommend making curtains 1.5-2 times wider than your window/s if you would like to create romantic beautiful drapes.
The width of the curtain in our listing is the width of the panel top after it is gathered/pleated. For instance, for a 50-inch long curtain rod you would need to select a curtain 50 inches wide. You will receive a panel that is 50 inches wide at the pleated top (and about 100 inches at the bottom).
- Curtain length:
Measure from the top of your curtain rod to the point where you would like you curtains to end.
Step 3. Pick and get your own fabric.
Here‘s how to calculate the approximate amount of fabric:
(please note - to calculate the exact yardage, contact us prior to purchasing the fabric).
- (Curtain rod length x 2) + 5 inches = Fabric width
- Curtain length + 10 inches = Fabric length.
If your fabric has a repeat pattern - measure the length of the pattern, multiply by 2 and add this number to the total length of your fabric, calculated using the instructions above.
If width of your fabric does not allow for wide curtains, we can sew 2 or 3 panels together to create extra wide curtain panels for you.
Visit spoonflower.com to see a great selection of beautiful patterns and fabrics. If you like any of their fabrics - please let us know - we are able to order any of Spoonflower products for you with a 10% discount.
Some fabrics, especially made from natural fibers, such as linen and cotton, shrink after first wash, so we recommend washing your fabric before sending it to us for sewing or calculate the size of the curtains based on the shrinkage calculation formula of your fabric.
Please note, that pricing is given for sewing/construction of the curtain panels from NEW/UNUSED fabrics. If you have some other already made products that you would like to turn into curtains (old curtains, bedding or some other textiles), please message us with all details and we will calculate the quote.
Step 4. Place your order.
Select the size you need and add it to your shopping cart. If you need more than one panel, you will be able to update the quantity in your shopping cart.
If you do not see the size of curtain panel you‘re looking for - please select next largest dimension in the drop down menu, and just attach a note to to your order with exact measurements, and we will customize this for you ! (Example: you are looking for a panel 53" wide x 96" long. In this case, select option 55" wide x 100" long in our listing, and attach a note with your exact dimensions. If your panel is still wider or longer than what we offer in our listing, please contact us, and we will be happy to help you).
