About Faux Roman Shades

Faux flat Roman shades offer the elegant look of traditional Roman shades without a built-in lifting mechanism. Designed as a stationary fabric panel with structured horizontal folds, they mimic the appearance of a raised shade while remaining fixed in place.

Each piece includes discreet rings and a cord system on the back, allowing you to style the folds as desired. The rod pocket construction makes installation simple on a standard curtain rod.

The result is a refined, tailored window treatment that combines the beauty of Roman shades with the ease of a decorative valance.

How to Measure & Order

Step 1: Measure Your Shade

Width:
Measure the full width of your curtain rod. This will be the finished width of your shade.

Length:
Measure from the top of the rod to your desired endpoint.
Note: Listed height reflects the shade when styled (tied up).

Step 2: Calculate Fabric Needed

• Rod width + 5 inches = Fabric width
• Shade length × 2 = Fabric length

If your fabric has a pattern repeat, add (pattern length × 2) to the total length.

If your fabric width is limited, we can join panels to achieve the desired size.

Tip: Natural fabrics like linen and cotton may shrink—pre-washing is recommended.

Step 3: Place Your Order

Select the closest size from the dropdown menu and include your exact measurements in the order notes.

Example: Need 53" x 16"? Select 55" x 20" and provide your exact size.

After purchase, we’ll send you our workshop address within 6 hours.
