Custom Flat CORDLESS Roman Shades Made from Your Own Fabric

Do you already have the perfect fabric picked out and just need someone to sew it all together? We create beautiful custom cordless flat Roman shades from your own fabric, handcrafted in our Maryland sewing studio by experienced seamstresses specializing in custom window treatments.

Flat Roman shades offer a clean, tailored look. When lowered, they hang completely flat for a sleek and structured appearance. When raised, they fold neatly into horizontal pleats.

This versatile style works beautifully on its own or layered with curtains or drapery panels. It provides excellent light control while maintaining a refined, minimalist aesthetic.

All notions and installation hardware are included in the listing price. We just need fabric from you — the rest is on us.

Price includes sewing of ONE cordless Roman shade panel.

Please note: Additional charges may apply for velvet, velour, extra thick fabrics, or repurposed/used textiles.

Rollease Easy Spring Plus System

These cordless Roman shades are constructed using the Rollease Easy Spring Plus System, designed for smooth, reliable cordless operation and a clean, child-safe finish.

Please note: This product can only be mounted on a board that is at least 2.5 inches wide. If you require a narrower mounting board, please choose our corded Roman shades instead.

How to Measure

Determine whether you would like an inside mount or outside mount shade before measuring.

Inside Mount:
Measure the width of the window opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the narrowest measurement.
Measure the height on the left, center, and right side. Use the longest measurement.

Outside Mount:
Add 1–2 inches on each side of the window width for better coverage and light control.
Measure from the desired top mounting point to the desired finished shade length.

Always double-check your measurements and consider window handles or trim that may affect installation.

Fabric Requirements

To calculate approximate fabric yardage:

• Fabric Width: Shade width + 5 inches
• Fabric Length: Shade length + 15 inches

Example: For a finished shade measuring 37" wide x 43" long, you would need approximately 42" wide x 58" long of fabric.

If your fabric has a repeat pattern, add twice the pattern repeat length to your total fabric length calculation.

If your fabric width is not wide enough, we can seam multiple panels together to achieve the desired width.

Please note that natural fabrics such as linen and cotton may shrink after washing. We recommend pre-washing fabric before shipping it to us.

Pricing applies to sewing with new, unused fabrics. If you would like to repurpose existing textiles, please contact us for a custom quote.

Optional lining is available for additional privacy, light control, insulation, and structure.

How to Order

1. Select the closest size option for your Roman shade.
2. Add the item to your shopping cart.
3. Include your exact finished measurements in the order notes.
4. After placing your order, we will send you the shipping address for our Maryland workshop within approximately 6 hours.
5. Ship your fabric to our studio using a trackable shipping method with signature confirmation.

Any remaining fabric will be returned with your finished order.

Production Time

Normal production time for custom Roman shades is approximately 3–4 weeks.

Rush service may be available upon request for an additional fee.

Returns & Important Information

Because all items are custom made to order, we do not accept returns unless there is an error on our part.

Our shipments include insurance covering the value of the finished product only. Additional insurance for customer-supplied fabric may be purchased upon request.

We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged by shipping carriers if shipped without signature confirmation.
