About Relaxed Roman Shades
Relaxed Roman shades feature a soft, elegant curve at the bottom when raised, creating a casual yet refined look. Unlike structured flat shades, this style forms a gentle dip in the center with flowing folds.
Each shade is constructed with hand-sewn rings and a cord system that allows smooth operation. Mounted on a sturdy board, the shade offers both durability and ease of installation.
Optional lining is available for enhanced fullness and light control.
How to Measure
Inside Mount
- Width: Measure top, middle, and bottom—use the smallest measurement
- Height: Measure left, middle, and right—use the longest measurement
Outside Mount
- Width: Add 1–2 inches on each side of the window
- Height: Measure from mounting point above the window to desired length
Always double-check measurements and account for any obstructions like handles or locks.
Fabric Requirements
- Fabric width: Shade width + 5 inches
- Fabric length: Shade length + 15 inches
If your fabric has a pattern repeat:
- Add (pattern repeat × 2) to the total fabric length
If fabric width is limited, panels can be joined to achieve the desired size.
